The Rivers Converge at Rastoke
At the convergence of the Slunjčica and Korana rivers lies the sleepy village of Rastoke, known for the still-functioning grain mills dating back to the 18th century. You can still buy a hearty loaf of traditional corn bread at one of the mills.

The village of Rastoke is part of the municipality of Slunj in the Lika region, where some of the heaviest fighting of the Homeland War took place in the early 1990’s. Slowly but surely the area is recovering from devastation, and tourism is on the rise. Rastoke is now so peaceful and idyllic that you’d never believe any fighting took place here.
